Product description

Universal transformer for Christmas candlesticks that fits the most common models. Follow the steps below to find your correct combination:

1. Check your old power block (transformer):
Take out the one that was connected to your candle bridge before. It should say something like: “24VAC” or “24VDC”. Max 24W or max 1000mA / 1A. If it says this – then this one will fit.

2. Look at the plug on the cable to the candlestick
Unplug the old transformer from the cable. What does the plug on the cable look like? Choose the right adapter:

Small round plug, approx. 3.5 mm outer diameter
→ Choose Adapter 3

Larger round plug, approx. 5.5 mm outer diameter
→ Choose Adapter 2

One flat + one round pin (DIN plug)
→ Choose Adapter 1
(If it doesn’t reach properly, remove the small collar on the adapter.)

Oval plug with two pins (OC27) or any plug not listed above
→ Choose Adapter 2 + 4
(Adapter 4 has two screw terminals where you attach the wires after cutting off the old plug.)

3. Connect – done!
Connect the transformer with the adapter you selected and plug it into the cable for your candlestick.

FAQ

  • Light sources are usually not included when purchasing lighting from us. Take a look under product details to see what is included with the product you are interested in.

  • It varies. To see if the product you're interested in has an included dimmer function, take a look under "Details".

  • Most of our fixtures (without built-in light sources) are dimmable, meaning that whether you can dim the lighting or not depends on the light source you choose. Therefore, select a dimmable light source to adjust the brightness of your lamp.

Please note that a light source with a 3-step dimmer cannot be controlled by a standard wall dimmer.

  • If the light source is visible, we recommend using a decorative light source so it becomes part of your new lamp. Do you want to be able to vary the brightness? See our light sources with 3-step dimmer, dimmable with a switch! See all light sources here.

Don't forget to check which socket your lamp requires.

  • No, the ceiling plug is not included. The new European standard (2019) introduced DCL lamp plugs and outlets. Old lamp plugs can still be purchased separately, but they are no longer allowed to be included with the ceiling lamp according to the new EU standard. Do you need to buy a DCL plug in class I or class II? Click here.

  • When choosing an LED bulb to replace a traditional incandescent bulb, it's important to focus on the light output, measured in lumens (lm), rather than the wattage (W). This is because wattage indicates how much energy a bulb consumes, while lumens measure the amount of light it emits. LED bulbs are much more energy-efficient than traditional incandescent bulbs, meaning they can produce the same light output (number of lumens) with lower energy consumption (wattage).

For example, if you want to replace a 60W incandescent bulb, you should look for an LED bulb that provides around 700-800 lumens.

Incandescent bulb wattage (W) to light output (Lumen)

    • 15W — 120-135 lm
    • 25W — 220-250 lm
    • 40W — 410-470 lm
    • 60W — 700-800 lm
    • 75W — 920-1050 lm
    • 100W — 1200-1500 lm
