Product description

  • Swan-neck lamp base
  • Hand-turned from hevea wood
  • Switch on lamp head
Back in the 1970s, Esset became a favourite in many homes, created from the vision of a floor lamp that would feel as sculptural as it was practical. Now, more than 50 years later, the Esset Swan Neck Floor Lamp returns as a tribute to Swedish design.

The distinctive swan-neck shape is inspired by the soft movements of nature and traditional craftsmanship, with each wooden sphere carefully hand-turned. The curved wooden base together with the sheer white fabric shade creates a soft, pleasant light and a timeless silhouette that suits both modern and classic interiors.
Esset stands firmly on a stylish brushed steel base plate. With its height of 150 cm and large Ø 76 cm shade, the lamp becomes a natural focal point in the home - perfect beside a favourite armchair, sofa group, or in a workspace.

Technical: The lamp requires one light source with a large E27 socket, max 60W or equivalent LED, not included. The lamp is equipped with a 2 metre transparent cable with wall plug, along with a practical and decorative switch positioned above the shade for easy use.

FAQ

  • Light sources are usually not included when purchasing lighting from us. Take a look under product details to see what is included with the product you are interested in.

  • It varies. To see if the product you're interested in has an included dimmer function, take a look under "Details".

  • Most of our fixtures (without built-in light sources) are dimmable, meaning that whether you can dim the lighting or not depends on the light source you choose. Therefore, select a dimmable light source to adjust the brightness of your lamp.

Please note that a light source with a 3-step dimmer cannot be controlled by a standard wall dimmer.

  • If the light source is visible, we recommend using a decorative light source so it becomes part of your new lamp. Do you want to be able to vary the brightness? See our light sources with 3-step dimmer, dimmable with a switch! See all light sources here.

Don't forget to check which socket your lamp requires.

  • No, the ceiling plug is not included. The new European standard (2019) introduced DCL lamp plugs and outlets. Old lamp plugs can still be purchased separately, but they are no longer allowed to be included with the ceiling lamp according to the new EU standard. Do you need to buy a DCL plug in class I or class II? Click here.

  • When choosing an LED bulb to replace a traditional incandescent bulb, it's important to focus on the light output, measured in lumens (lm), rather than the wattage (W). This is because wattage indicates how much energy a bulb consumes, while lumens measure the amount of light it emits. LED bulbs are much more energy-efficient than traditional incandescent bulbs, meaning they can produce the same light output (number of lumens) with lower energy consumption (wattage).

For example, if you want to replace a 60W incandescent bulb, you should look for an LED bulb that provides around 700-800 lumens.

Incandescent bulb wattage (W) to light output (Lumen)

    • 15W — 120-135 lm
    • 25W — 220-250 lm
    • 40W — 410-470 lm
    • 60W — 700-800 lm
    • 75W — 920-1050 lm
    • 100W — 1200-1500 lm
