A bedroom is more than just a place to sleep – it’s a personal space where you can unwind, recharge, and feel completely at ease. The key to a functional and inviting bedroom lies in blending practical solutions with cozy, atmospheric details. Here’s how we did it!

Different lamps, different lights

Thoughtful lighting is essential for creating a cozy bedroom. Follow the rule of thumb: aim for about seven light sources in each room. This ensures dynamic and balanced illumination. Mix general lighting like a ceiling lamp, ambient lighting like table lamps and portable lights, and task lighting such as spotlights for evening reading.

For a creative touch, vary your bedside lamps to add interest. We’ve chosen the Mira floor lamp for one side of the bed and the Edgar table lamp in brass for the other.

The ceiling lamp is a key light source in the bedroom, offering optimal light. Here, we’ve chosen the Dual ceiling lamp, crafted from rice paper with an elegant black accent.

Windows are a great spot for adding decorative lamps. A table lamp or a hanging window lamp can transform the look of the space. In this example, the charming Göteborg table lamp fits perfectly, complementing a blue tablecloth repurposed as a bedspread. It might sound strange, but using a beautiful tablecloth as a throw is a quick, flexible, and creative way to refresh your bed styling.

Cozy lamps for the bedroom

Battery-operated candles, tea lights, create a cozy and inviting atmosphere while keeping safety in mind.

Portable lamps are another practical option, offering flexibility to bring light wherever you need it – perhaps as a detail on your weekend breakfast tray?

Throws and cushions are essential for a dreamy bedroom. Opt for pillows in light colors like white and beige that are easy to mix and match. This makes it simple to swap out individual pieces when you want to update the look.

To add depth to the room, we’ve placed a wooden bench at the foot of the bed, styled with a low, stable table lamp. The Amfi lamp, a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern design, mainly produced in Sweden!
