About us

Markslöjd has existed since 1963 and, as the name suggests, was a part with handicraft articles before the lighting business took over completely.

From the start, it was very much about turned lamp feet in wood and screens in textile. In principle, everything was manufactured in Mark's municipality. The head office and central warehouse are still in the heart of the so-called "Textile Kingdom" while most of the production takes place in the Asia.

Our mission is to make the world a brighter place and we use the "Markslöjd" brand to achieve this goal. We focus on lighting for the home as well as for public environments as well as outdoor lighting.

We care

Our choices affect our everyday lives in both big and small. To take care of the earth's resources and to reduce our climate footprint, we at Markslöjd are working actively to recover products that may have been crushed in freight or the like. We cooperate with Elkretsen, which recovers all materials that can then become new goods. We at Markslöjd are also self-sufficient on green electricity from wind power.

Since 2007, Markslöjd is a member of the BSCI organization, where common codes of conduct are used in relation to the members' suppliers. In this way, Markslöjd tries to take responsibility and maintain that our requirements are met by our suppliers.
